I tend to agree with this. Though I have a favorable opinion of Obama, I think we would be better off now if Romney would have won in 2012. Romney was a centrist Republican and I think he would have been able to work with Congress in a bipartisan way. Most of the good Obama did was in his first term and I doubt we would lose anything by him not having a second term. What we would have gained is less division between the left and right in the mid '10s. My guess is Romney would now be in his second term and would have beat Hillary by a greater margin than Trump did in 2016.

So your argument is that because Republicans wouldnt work with a Democratic President, we should have gain in and let them win, so they could just do things we completely disagree with ????

Biden knows how to connect with the people at least. He probably would have won if he ran

There is a very good chance he would have. He is probably more pissed at Hillary than anyone. I doubt he and Debbie get along very well either. Obama should have put the knife in when he had the chance.

This is and always will be an optics argument rather than a factual one.

Two people whose combine age will be nearly 155 years old.

I like Biden and thought he should have been the Democratic nominee.

Seriously, by 2020 I hope we have a president or presidential nominee that was born after the invention of the transistor radio.

I think people estimated Hillary's popularity to be greater than it was simply because Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were popular. Even people who loved Bill Clinton disliked her.

Obama and Bill Clinton had charisma and could diffuse ugliness or aggression by making a joke or saying something that endeared them to the public. She just got her full face *B* on and thought that would be okay.

It's obvious she's not cut from the same cloth as those two. Not even close. I sometimes wonder if the powers that be knew that going into it but were too afraid to tell her.
