I went there. Crazy nuns - surprised not all in jail... Some do ok..We tried to send the g-kids to a Christian school
Who is we?
The parents weren't responsible for where their kids would be educated?

they still honor roll...in public school.
A case of the apples falling far away from the tree.

You understand only a few in the community can go to those schools right?
I imagine you are against vouchers and charter schools.

Btw I know 3 kids came out of the hood, one going for her doctorate- another is a top RN at a huge hospital and the 3rd is a attorney, musician.. So you never know what talents are out there...
Many people feel that people having children they can't afford to support properly without assistance is a significant issue.

How is your question above related to the post you are replying to?
Some would say sending your kids to private school is not exposing them to the real world and keeping them sheltered.
A lot of people DO say that & always have. Heard it when I was in private school (from my public school friends who lived in my neighborhood and/or were in my church youth group. They heard it from their parents & felt the need to let me know).
"Real world" meaning what, exactly? I never understood what was meant by that & still don't.
Now, apparently our children have become too fragile to not be #1 at everything. So in interests of dumbing down the schools even further to make the lowest denominator feel better about themselves there will no longer be Valedictorians.
We certainly would not want them to learn terrible lessons like students who work harder than you might possibly be recognized for it over YOU. So we have to protect the feelings of these little snowflakes so they can become good liberals someday and protest things they cannot even understand because they are flat out stupid and ignorant.
Again, Catholic school for my 5 kids was the best investment I ever made.
Well, many Republicans pretty strongly believe that giving tax money on a equally provided basis to private schools as with public schools should be the biggest civil rights issue of this century.
There are plenty of teachers that take advantage of kids anywhere you can send your kid unfortunately.
It happens most everywhere. Degree matters. 1% is vastly different than 10%. And anytime the organization is aware of pedo priests yet moves them around, well that CANNOT be acceptable. PERIOD.
The Catholic church, to this day, moves around its Pedo Priests and teaches a false gospel. No thank you.
Don't need to send any child to a Catholic school. The Public Schools would need to be much much worse win hich in 90%+ cases, I do not see that as reality

Huh?

Huh. I live in a city with three high schools. All three had valedictorians and salutatorians. All three are public.
