Now all of a sudden, the dingbats running California's government are thinking of ways to violate their own travel ban. LOL!
Not surprisingly, the California Attorney General’s office, which issued the original and additional travel ban, hasn’t exactly thought this through. When contacted Friday about this particular issue, the office released a statement that says it plans to soon release “general guidance” on how to interpret the new law.

California Travel Ban Backfires - State Schools Shut out of NCAA Final Four

FAKE NEWS! The cited article clearly states " May Keep Its Schools Out of Final Four, Football Championship "

Just another deliberately misleading thread title.

Nope.

The OP clearly says that California is now looking at a way to violate its own travel ban.

I brought the college sports issue up in another thread about the states travel ban. It would be gravely unfair for the student athletes if they were forbidden from participating in events, especially since a large majority of the sports world including it's athletes have been supportive of pro-LGBT issues, and can send a positive message by bringing it to the campuses.

I believe the NCAA will pressure the state to allow these schools to compete, especially if the states holding the events are within the criteria the NCAA uses to schedule such events. HB2 was repealed in NC, and now has met the NCAA's criteria. Texas who may pass a NC like bathroom bill will end up losing next years Final Four, so that will become another issue.

Indeed.

North Carolina repealed HB2, but the California ban remains in place.

California issued the RULE - that's a FACT
IF California sticks to the RULE they issued, then the Teams have to pay their own way because State Funds can't be used. That's the RULE.

California May choose to "change" their RULE, but right now it stands until they do "change" it.

The New York Times wrote that poor Alice May be thrown out of her Nursing Home to the streets to DIE because of those Evil Republicans and Trump.

Did you yell out ..... FAKE NEWS! at that "May"?

Of course he/she didn't.

Let's see if the government hypocrites violate their own ban.

However California coaches and school administrators can't travel to Texas, or seven smaller states to recruit a student athlete or a student with any other functional interest for that matter.

Poor Waldo. Must be another slow news day so another post straying from the truth.

California can simple declare collegiate level sports participation is essential.

They can also use Alumni sports groups to cover the travel if needed.

Or they can decide they will not compete in states that discriminate.

If I were those states, I would retaliate against CA and not allow any of state sponsored teams to participate on their soil.
