Of course, it is the fault of the poor people that they are poor...and after all they really aren't real human beings like the rich people! Why should they have things like money and property?
And if they did have money they wouldn't use it to create employment...they would use it to fund their elaborate lifestyle,
hoarding their wealth and refusing to pay their own employees a decent amount of income...while putting it all in an account in the Kayman Islands and create tax shelters to avoid paying into the tax system. That's what poor people would do!

They would never go shopping, buy food and clothes for their family. Or get Medical Care. Or go on vacation.
Get furniture. Because, for heaven's sake...that just might create some jobs!
"Yet, Another thread bashing poor people"

So when the weather man says we are going to be hit by a hurricane, we are "bashing' him for what he states as the truth?

I do see a WHOLE LOT OF JEALOUSY and pure IGNORANCE!

Gonna try to answer this question seriously. People, rich or poor = consumers. More consumers = more money for companies to acquire them. More opportunities to acquire them = more jobs. Like you might notice, even poor people buy bread, meat, heck even iphones. You think Kraft, Foster Farms, or Apple care what your neighborhood looks like? Everyone's a consumer and they don't just want rich ones... they want all of them.

You aren't poor if you can afford bread, meat and iPhone. Just saying.

I had to guess the OP was not talking about homeless people, but just people who are at/below poverty level living in section 8 or some sort of subsidized housing. Those people can afford bread and meat (and occasionally iphones).

You are poor if you can't afford shelter, in fact, that is THE definition pretty much

Leaving team members behind is despicable in combat and disgusting in peace.
When the poor rise to the middle class, which sometimes isn't that large a step, some become entrepreneurs. Most small business isn't owned by the rich- it's owned by the middle class. And when a small business is good enough, it tends to grow.

Much of the OP depends on his definition of 'poor'. The owners of many small businesses are no wealthier than the people they employ, as they plow the profits back into the business. They may have a million dollars worth of assets on paper, but their take home pay is no higher than their employees. Sometimes, it's less than their employees, as the owners are often willing to take a hit to keep their assets intact while waiting for a brighter day.

That's the classic way the poor rise to wealth in this country. The poor rise to the middle class, and from the middle class to wealth.
Those who are rich and start out rich have always been a small bunch in comparison.

And the wealth of a person does not determine how many he employs. There are many businesses that make lots of money that have only a handful of employees.

The financial sector is a good example; since money never sleeps, and multiplies around the clock, it doesn't need thousands of workers to make that happen. An average hospital would need more workers than a average private investment fund company, but both could have the same yearly gross income.

How many jobs are created by poor people?

Other then government jobs to get ooor people wellfare and section 8 benefits.
The Reagan years and triple down economy are gone. It doesn't work. The rich want to keep their profits and could care less what they pay their employees. Unions are the way to go. They negotiate wages and benefits.....unlike companies who say take our plan or don't work for us. But yet some of you hate unions. I just don't get that.

Not sure why the right constantly gets their jollies off by waging war on the poor. There have been numerous success stories from history.
That's not the question. The person became a self made millionaire which is fantastic and many have left a poor and bad background behind and changed their own life and people surrounding them, for a great life and creating jobs!

Thanks for backing my point!

So this will be like the third time the GOP tries the theory of lowering taxes for the super rich. Perhaps GOP supporters should explain why other attempts didn't work and why this time it will be different.

Will these billionaires hire Americans to work on their yachts and on their estates?
