The only crime Hillary committed was impersonating a presidential candidate.
Her punishment? Getting trolled by the big cheeto.
Hillary Clinton committed a serious crime in her mishandling of classified information by using an illegal, unsecured private server. Who know the extent of damage? We may never know. She should be serving a life term right now.
Well, maybe. But when it comes to law'n order, you don't get off just because something worse could have happened.
Not quite an accurate analogy. Artifacts aren't "victims" but over there, they are indeed endangered.
A better point: Christians who broke the law and hid Jews in various countries in Europe during the Nazi regime took a calculated risk to do what they thought right. Many succeeded, some did not.
It was well know that ISIS was selling antiquities to help finance its operations.

It could well be that HL actually helped rescue some antiquities for posterity from these barbarians.
Before the group known as ISIS ...
"According to the complaint and stipulated statement of facts filed with the court, in or around 2009, Hobby Lobby began to assemble a collection of historically significant manuscripts, antiquities and other cultural materials. In connection with this effort, Hobby Lobby’s president and a consultant traveled to the UAE in July 2010 to inspect a large number of cuneiform tablets and other antiquities being offered for sale (the “Artifacts”). Cuneiform is an ancient system of writing on clay tablets that was used in ancient Mesopotamia thousands of years ago." Them's the breaks.
Well, you bring up an excellent point though.
Are the Greens advocating for the victims/targets of muslim extremists (muslim, christian, jew, bahai, atheist, homosexuals, uppity girls and women, etc) to be smuggled out of the middle east and take refuge here? Because if they are, this atheist would send them money for their efforts, and I wouldn't care whose laws they were breaking.
If so, contact: "The government’s case is being handled by Assistant United States Attorneys Karin Orenstein and Ameet B. Kabrawala." ... and let them know.
from your link HL made out payments to people other than the 'owner' of the items; falsified the documents showing the country of origin and attached labels that were misleading as to the contents; and did so on multiple shipments. Looks like malicious intent to me, although breaking the law is pretty much an obvious example of malicious intent.
Wondering, where does it refer to any lack of "malicious intent" and why would that matter? Breaking the law is breaking the law.
OH, wait...
"Malicious intent refers to the intent, without just cause or reason, to commit a wrongful act that will result in harm to another. It is the intent to harm or do some evil purpose."
So, HL intentionally committed a wrongful act that resulted in harm to the people of the country of origin when they purchased the items. Deliberately attempting to circumvent the law that protects those artifacts could be construed as an evil purpose. Putting the stuff into their for-profit museum is certainly not a "just cause or reason". They wanted the stuff, didn't want to go through the hassle of getting them legally, and got caught. duh. guilty.
Unfortunately, what it cost them to buy/ship/return and pay the fine for breaking the law... is just a slap on the wrist. They'll make it back up in a day or two as trumpissts go there to shop to show their support.
A local group of "evangelicals" went shopping at a Hobby Lobby to show their support during the birth control issue. They each came out after buying a thimble, LOL!

Cuneiform tablets? Follow the damn law.
