I hate the Patriot Act, and the DHS, and I am a conservatarian. All the Democrats voted for both you know.
I know many Americans hate those pieces of legislation.
I don't believe for one moment that all Democrats voted for them either.
That is no more factual than it would be to say only Republicans voted for Trump the Democrat before morphing.
Folks of all political affiliations are more than capable of using their logic and intelligence to put an "X" beside the name of the candidate they think might precipitate change of a positive kind.
Those exist in numbers on either side of the aisle.
You were probably hoping for a one-sided advantage but alas; starting back in the 70's and beyond, Americans were noted for illegally obtaining free healthcare in Canada numbering in the thousands as determined in just one province over a 6 month period:
"A report prepared for Ontario's Health Minister indicated that from August 1992 to February 1993, 60,000 medical claims had been made on behalf of patients who held American drivers' licenses."
Maybe he could tell us why so many Canadians overstay their visas.
Maybe he would tell you that many of those Canadians -- you might wanna sit down for this -- are Americans. Dual citizens. With, according to US law, all the same rights and privileges, save the right to become POTUS, as any US citizen born on US soil.
Maybe Hillary has indulged in to much Russian caviar when she was engaging with the Russians over the Uranium deal and how much the Russians would donate to the Clinton Foundation? But that is only speculation... mind you.

Your point has a counterpoint.
* You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging
thrift.
* You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
* You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
* You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the
wage payer.
* You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
* You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
* You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting
class hatred.
* You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than
you earn.
* You cannot build character and courage by destroying
mens initiative and independence.
* And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them
what they can and should do for themselves.
