People that have a blind faith in unregulated monopolistic markets are (in my opinion) too stupid to vote.

Like the providers of electricity, the providers of Internet access own their markets. If we don't regulate them, ensure they don't discriminate against businesses they compete against, Internet innovation will die.

NN would not preclude an ISP from charging those customers more which doesn't change the fact they would still have a monopoly.

Yes it does and NN insures that different companies can compete for your dollars without interference from the ISP.

Note the bolded. The ISP's have adhered to the NN principal since it began. The rules under Obama only formalized it. What has worked very well so far will no longer be when NN is removed.

My examples don't hold water because you clearly do not understand what NN is.

Doing away with Net Neutrality is just another trick in the book by Crony Capitalists that own our government.
If they do away with Net Neutrality, the Big ISPs that donate the most to politicians and have the most lobbyists will be able to choose who they want to be the winners and losers.

That is far away from the Free Market as you can get.

That's YOUR decision. If it means alot to you them move. I'm guessing that isn't on the list of top 10 reasons to live rural so people won't. You want to live away from the "rat race"? That's your call. However YOU choose to live there so you benefit and suffer from the lifestyle YOU choose.

I get it. Not having options stinks but if it really is important the problem is easily solved. Free market competition improves our lives. Fiber optics has helped as far as lack of bandwidth. Innovations from the free market drives the internet market. It's worked well enough so far.
Letting the Big ISPs throttle content in favor of their own is not Free Market in action. it is Crony Capitalists choosing winners and losers.

If net neutrality is removed, it would be a failure of our democracy.
Exactly
It is Crony Capitalism in action.
https://www.opensecrets.org/news/issues/net_neutrality/

The top dogs want to own the markets and have purchased politicians to make it happen.
If repealing Net Neutrality created more competition, the top dogs would be all for keeping Net Neutrality in place.
The FCC Chairman is a former Verizon Lawyer, it does not get much more obvious than that.

Is there supposed to be rational thought in here?

WTF does your nonsense post have to do with anything?

What the net neutrality opponents such as yourself are saying is that the electric company should get to tell you which brand of dryer you have to buy or declare that if you have a Maytag, they'll charge you twice as much per kWhr as they charge for a Samsung dryer.

Another analogy I am ruminating over is sports. There are basic rules that all follow (or, well, should anyways) to make the game fair. If you want a better chance at winning, you can exercise more, study strategies, etc. You don’t get to drug the other person/team with muscle relaxants so they slow down or otherwise perform worse.

Net neutrality is the basic gameplay rules. Taking it away would allow businesses to play dirty and essentially drug their competitors instead of working harder and smarter at being better than the others in an even playing field.

Ask someone who has a thought process maybe then you'll get it.

lol That's something you made up and is a horrible analogy.

It's about property rights and the free market and regulation. That you want to throw a hissie fit and deflect is on you. NN is also about privacy. Not that you care.

Yes, we don't like ISP's inspecting our packets for their own purposes. I'm surprised that you'd bring it up, though.
