I've only gone in-person to 3 NFL games in my life because 1) I don't live nearby a team, and 2) I don't have the money to regularly drop about $600 on a Sunday outing.

If any of you are SO upset about the protest that you're going to get rid of your tickets, I'd be happy to take them off your hands for what you say on here that they are now worth.

If anyone has any Eagles tickets for games at Lincoln Field, let me know!

I have supported the peaceful protesters against the removal of Confederate Era statues as it is part of History and Heritage. I also support NFL players in their peaceful protest as a matter of solidarity with a cause. Peaceful exercise of First Amendment.
Boycott of NFL will serve no purpose-the peaceful protest will spread to other sports also. Athletics, Basketball, Baseball, College Sports.

Stop playing the national anthem. Stop the entire issue dead in its tracks. Real fans don't care one way or the other if they play the anthem.....they are there for the game. Don't let the spoiled overpaid players continue to make an issue of it.

I am looking forward to the downward pressure on ticket prices that'll result from all these people saying they're going to boycott the NFL. Also the happy hour specials that'll occur at sports bars on Sundays now. *snicker*

That is far more likely now that Trump took sides.

NFL owners have the right to fire players who do not live up to the team rules. It's not going to happen though.

Odd isn't it. People complain when protests aren't peaceful and they state that to get people on their side they have to protest peacefully. Here we have people protesting peacefully and they are still told they need to stop.

Many simply do not want to face the reason people are protesting.

Great article about how Tebow and Kaepernick represent the two versions of Christianity.

Tebow is a Christian who spends his time making a public show of praying and preaching. He's in favor of abstinence before marriage, against abortion, and generally concerned about sin and personal salvation.

Kapernick is a Christian who spends his time making a public show of standing up for social justice. He's raised funds and donated to efforts such as flying food and water to struggling Somalia, donating suits to those coming out of prison who are looking for jobs, Meals on Wheels, ...

"it feels as though the church is separating into two versions, one that values personal piety, gentleness, respect for cultural mores, and an emphasis on moral issues like abortion and homosexuality, and another that values social justice, community development, racial reconciliation, and political activism."

"One version is kneeling in private prayer. The other is kneeling in public protest."

Wonder which Christians Jesus would kneel with.
