Of course he is. And honestly, that's exactly what everyone expects him to do.

He is a brutish buffoon, so it's not like he's suddenly going to trip up and say the right thing. He'll always say the wrong / irresponsible thing.

A guy like Trump does not take rule of law seriously, so he's not going to care much about this little things like "due process" and "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."

You don't handle these types with soft caresses.

No one is calling for "police brutality", Trump is saying, "Don't be afraid to use force IF you have to". But that doesn't sound good to the left so they, of course, pretend he meant something else.

It doesn't "conform" to anything, he basically said cops shouldn't have to take it easy on suspects..to anyone who isn't trying to make it conform to what they already believe . This is the President of the United States, not Michael Savage yucking it up with his angry old fans.

You just struck on something that should have been obvious, that Trump's future is as a right-wing radio host. He and his discombobulated cult of zombies could retreat into their own little world of hateful fantasy, where they would have no effect on the real-life affairs of our country.

Liberals once agin siding with the criminals over the police. What a surprise. It's once of the things that cost them the election

Gee, I dunno... would it be considered 'police brutality' to not take steps to protect the safety of someone that is handcuffed and pretty much defenseless? That does appear to be what trump is suggesting in his speech - not overt brutality, but more of a petty, bullying type to behavior. Seems to remind me of something mom used to say "two wrongs don't make a right". And, god forbid that they actually do that sort of thing to someone who is actually innocent.

Not to mention, if they did that, it could possibly affect their ability to convict the person, and their ultimate goal is to get the guilty party convicted - not a momentary revenge, but a legal conviction.

Police departments have worked hard to establish positive relationships in big cities. Trump running his mouth off like this could be construed by many as a green light to physically abuse anyone they arrest for anything. Cops are like sitting ducks out there on the streets, does Trump want open hunting season on them?
