Same day of Raid, just hours after Manafort's house was torn apart by the FBI....

Trump trying his hardest to discredit Manafort. Donald, how dumb are you? LOL. For somebody that isn't guilty of anything, Trump sure knows how to raise some eyebrows with his behavior.

How does the FBI know at which home the papers are kept?

Paying cash for 4 NYC apartments and later taking out mortgages would make me think money laundering.

Not necessarily. I have done MANY house closings here in NY and Hundreds of very expensive properties (a few for major sports players) and many times they buy with cash to save time and mortgage after, as they want the interest write off.
Also, many who buy as investment do the same. Buy in cash because they have it and mortgage later for interest write offs and to free up cash for more purchases.

There has to be a record of the reasons given that they needed to issue a warrant, for someone that has been more than cooperative.

No it was not a raid. It was all arranged by lawyers. Infowars Roger Stone reported on it last month, that Manafort would be turning over all the information requested in the investigation later. That has happened the following day at the lawyers office..

Roger Stone himself, is to do the same thing, along with Page.
Manifort's attorney confirmed warrant and raid.
