That just has to be complete BS. Obama traveled the world on vacation for 8 years and his wife and dog often took separate planes. If that didn't break the bank, nothing will.
The numbers dispute your claim as do his record number of golf and rally outings. He should be required to stay in the White House and Camp David as he claimed he would until next year. Remember him stating he would work the hardest of any president and never leave DC??
Yeah I definitely agree their protection is important, but this is kind of a unique situation where they should pay into it. I don't begrudge the Trumps business trips - that's their livelihood - but why can't they expense those costs to the business? Considering the guy kept bragging about being a billionaire, it seems pretty crappy that some of the people meant to protect him won't get paid for their work.
A good statement.
However, I recognize that President Trump is probably not as cash-wealthy as he desires us to believe. He may well be 'wealthy' (taking into account his real estate), but having actual money is different.
Regardless, either Congress needs to amend the rules concerning protection for the family (President, wife and Barron excepted, of course), or they need to pony up the money.

Do you have a reference to how much the Secret Service spent under that administration? Any link ...
We can then compare, and see if your contention is a valid one.
Budgets are written by number cruncher's. They look at what has been spent in the past and determine what might be needed in the future. Trump's SS budget had already been increased but he has already blown through it. He can not control himself. He is so used to gold leaf and a 'no expense spared' lifestyle of luxury that the very concept of 'cutting back' is foreign to him. Now that he can do it at yours and my expense, all the better for him. While we try to figure out how to pay for the mortgage and groceries, he takes 25% of our money and blows it on ketchup covered steaks that cost more than we make in a week. He is living the high life at our expense and flaunting it in our face. He wants more and dares us to say anything about it because after all, he is King.
He's been in office...what...seven months? It calls into question his business acumen. CEOs deal with budgets, so what's his excuse for the cost overrun so early in his first year of office?
Maybe if you can restrain your hate you would see this was already posted 3 hours ago-it already has 41 replies.
Lol, defensive, aren't you?
