Where are you getting your information?

This article explains why some are sent back to places that we normally wouldn't sent them back to,

"Records prepared by the CBSA show that between the beginning of 2004 and the end of June this year, 148,057 people were deported, more than 70 per cent of whom were failed refugee claimants."

"The number of rejected refugees deported each year grew from around 8,000 per year a decade ago to more than 13,000 in 2012. In 2013, the number fell back to 10,505."

"More than 500 of these people were sent to the five countries where Canada has an official moratorium on deportations: Haiti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Iraq and Afghanistan."

Those are 500 out of the 148,057.

Reason?

"The government gets around the moratorium by reserving the right to deport certain categories of people, including those with criminal records, those who are deemed to be a security risk or are determined to have been involved in war crimes or crimes against humanity."

So not only do we send people back, we will send them back to a hell hole we normally wouldn't, because they aren't fit to stay.

These politicians always say "diversity is our strength" but there is no evidence at all to back this claim up. In fact there's evidence to the contrary, that homogeneous places like in Scandinavia/East Asia/Middle america tend to do better where people are happier and life tends to be more equitable because people trust each other. People in multicultural environments tend to self segregate and the groups act tribal towards each other. There were good reasons we had these borders in the first place.

Middle America does better?

Anyway I don't buy it. It does work for the most part in Canada. The most interesting places are usually the most diverse.

Diversity HAS to be a strength. We have to make it work because we can't turn back the clock. The planet is way, way to small now. People are mixing more and more. Especially when any corner of the globe is just a day away.

Hear hear, well put. In the coming years this situation will only accelerate, as equatorial lands and coastal cities become less habitable and the number one cause of refugee migration will be climate, not war, or political strife. It's already happening.

Well then, can you explain these:

I'd say there's plenty of evidence to back it up. There are just as many diverse countries among the top tier as there are homogenous ones.

Yes, compare income equality, birth rates, happiness indexes to coastal places it's night and day. People tend to be happier in more homogeneous places.

I hope Canada has a stampede. We here have had an alien invasion.

Canada won't even begin to understand what open borders means until they have a million illegals on their hands. That would make it roughly proportional to what the US is dealing with as a % of population.
