First of all, the span of time of the Old Testament covers thousands of years. How many people did Hitler kill (and not only Jews) and in what span of time?
Because no president can bring the economy of the 1960s back. Trump is lying when he says those manufacturing jobs are coming back. The only manufacturing that is coming back requires highly skilled workers, not folks fresh out of high school. Trump knows this and he continues to tell folks, " when we get rid of the illegals, there will be plenty of well paying jobs". No, there won't. No one is going to pay laborers a living wage without the skill set. The U.S. has been falling behind other nations for decades in education. Whether we like it or not, we live in a world economy and, without advanced education or highly skilled vocational training, the folks in middle America WILL remain unemployed or underemployed for generations to come. But people choose to not believe that and Trump uses that to keep his base energized . His own clothing company manufactures his clothing line outside the U.S.! Until people stop blaming others for their own lack of initiative, they will continue to support Trump, because he let's them off the hook. It's not their fault all those mining and factory jobs left, it was the democrats fault. Keep telling yourself that and wait for that new manufacturing plant to open up down the road, paying a living wage and benefits. In the meantime, you might want to encourage your kids to get an education, even if that means high debt for student loans.
Very well said. A good majority of Trump supporters are pining for the "gorgeous" days of the 50s and 60s to come back. In their eyes Trump represents that time period.
Like you said these people have ZERO clue to why they lost their job. why those jobs are gone. They believe it's all because of the Democrats and Obama who want to completely destroy coal, manufacturing, and all those nasty "regulations" cause of the Democrats.

You live in Iowa (which voted for Trump I believe), your exposure is very limited. I've known tons of Democrats filled with hate for Christians that would willingly Final Solution them if they could. That you haven't is a function of being in a rural state or dishonesty.
Finn claims he is not a Democrat but posts 100% Democrat leaning posts and has no actual interest in legitimate debate. You and Finn can lecture Christians all you want but they have the right to vote however they want and your lecturing will just make their decision stronger.
Most, if not all, Democrats are "progressives." Progressives reject religion. They believe the world would be better off it there were no religion at all. They see religion as what is wrong with the world.
American Christians seem very different to Christians elsewhere.
They are. Christians in here in the West give Satan more power then he has biblically. They see the old and new Testaments as one religion when in fact they are two very different faiths/religions.
