I care. Manhattan alone provides more tax revenue to our coffers than most states.

Do you feel Democrats are waging war on White men even though a substantial number of Democrats are themselves White men?

Congress doing something about DACA? Seriously they're so polarized they can't agree on what day of the week it is. These children of illegals are in the hands of rabid populists who want a pure white America. If they had their way these kids would have to wear a M on their clothing and wait to be shipped away for the Final Solution.

That's honestly better than Tweeting all day like a pre-teen and playing golf.

Trump was supposed to present a wonderful replacement for Obamacare. Instead, he did nothing but point the finger at members of his own party. What happened to the wonderful plan he boasted about on the campaign trail?

How can Congress do its job when the POTUS can't be bothered to learn the basics of the legislation he's backing?

Brown people? Here comes the race card just like clockwork. If any of these DACAs are suffering regardless of their skin color they need to look to their parents for the predicament they are in. Obviously, whatever jobs they are holding will go to Americans or legal immigrants instead. Why wouldn't they?

Nonsense. I know enough Hispanics to know many have given up the Catholic faith totally and now belong to one of the new and improved Christian denominations. Hispanics have out of wedlock children at the same rate as non Hispanics, so being Catholic hasn't put a damper on that for them.
You're also silly in making it sound like Hispanics are the only Catholics in this nation. There are a lot of white European people in this country that are Catholics as well. In fact Catholicism has more members than any other Christian denomination. Many of them use birth control and are quite liberal. You do the math.

No, we'll just be a more mixed race society that's all. There is no such thing as an undocumented immigrant either. They are illegal aliens.

Lightbulb Will DACA stay, or go?

Like I posted yesterday, it's kinda gone, yet kinda isn't.

All tRump did was set a very flexible deadline for congress to get its act together and move on this long overdue issue.

Of course, tRump has hogpiled this on top of half a dozen other urgent matters congress has to work on first.

My bet is that his arbitrary deadline will be extended.

But that’s not what the action that the White House took today is about. This is about young people who grew up in America – kids who study in our schools, young adults who are starting careers, patriots who pledge allegiance to our flag. These Dreamers are Americans in their hearts, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper. They were brought to this country by their parents, sometimes even as infants. They may not know a country besides ours. They may not even know a language besides English. They often have no idea they’re undocumented until they apply for a job, or college, or a driver’s license.

Over the years, politicians of both parties have worked together to write legislation that would have told these young people – our young people – that if your parents brought you here as a child, if you’ve been here a certain number of years, and if you’re willing to go to college or serve in our military, then you’ll get a chance to stay and earn your citizenship. And for years while I was President, I asked Congress to send me such a bill.

That bill never came. And because it made no sense to expel talented, driven, patriotic young people from the only country they know solely because of the actions of their parents, my administration acted to lift the shadow of deportation from these young people, so that they could continue to contribute to our communities and our country. We did so based on the well-established legal principle of prosecutorial discretion, deployed by Democratic and Republican presidents alike, because our immigration enforcement agencies have limited resources, and it makes sense to focus those resources on those who come illegally to this country to do us harm. Deportations of criminals went up. Some 800,000 young people stepped forward, met rigorous requirements, and went through background checks. And America grew stronger as a result.

But today, that shadow has been cast over some of our best and brightest young people once again. To target these young people is wrong – because they have done nothing wrong. It is self-defeating – because they want to start new businesses, staff our labs, serve in our military, and otherwise contribute to the country we love. And it is cruel. What if our kid’s science teacher, or our friendly neighbor turns out to be a Dreamer? Where are we supposed to send her? To a country she doesn’t know or remember, with a language she may not even speak?

Let’s be clear: the action taken today isn’t required legally. It’s a political decision, and a moral question. Whatever concerns or complaints Americans may have about immigration in general, we shouldn’t threaten the future of this group of young people who are here through no fault of their own, who pose no threat, who are not taking away anything from the rest of us. They are that pitcher on our kid’s softball team, that first responder who helps out his community after a disaster, that cadet in ROTC who wants nothing more than to wear the uniform of the country that gave him a chance. Kicking them out won’t lower the unemployment rate, or lighten anyone’s taxes, or raise anybody’s wages.

It is precisely because this action is contrary to our spirit, and to common sense, that business leaders, faith leaders, economists, and Americans of all political stripes called on the administration not to do what it did today. And now that the White House has shifted its responsibility for these young people to Congress, it’s up to Members of Congress to protect these young people and our future. I’m heartened by those who’ve suggested that they should. And I join my voice with the majority of Americans who hope they step up and do it with a sense of moral urgency that matches the urgency these young people feel.

Ultimately, this is about basic decency. This is about whether we are a people who kick hopeful young strivers out of America, or whether we treat them the way we’d want our own kids to be treated. It’s about who we are as a people – and who we want to be.

What makes us American is not a question of what we look like, or where our names come from, or the way we pray. What makes us American is our fidelity to a set of ideals – that all of us are created equal; that all of us deserve the chance to make of our lives what we will; that all of us share an obligation to stand up, speak out, and secure our most cherished values for the next generation. That’s how America has traveled this far. That’s how, if we keep at it, we will ultimately reach that more perfect union.

-- Barack Obama
Remember Obama has a great speech writer.....Remember JFK? It not what your country can do for you, it is what you can do for your country......great speech writer there.

The long and short of it. Why have most of these said "Dreamers"not pursued legal citizenship?

There is really no mystery here....it is either to stay illegal to remain on the government "teet", or due to committing a crime...and we are not talking about being found with a "nickel bag of pot".

Friend ( Asian Indian who came into the US via Canada, husband is a M.D) stated that she almost never took cases from local Hispanics...due to a major majority having prior drug raps on their records.

Now, if we went down to ole Mexico on a resident visa and got caught buying, dealing drugs...guess what? You would rot in jail......do as they say, not what they do....folks!

Most of our politicians are paid off thru lobbyists do what the military industrial complex wants.....the citizens of the US need to get their heads out of the sand and realize the cold hard truth...they do not give one iota about your opinion where your tax dollars go. Nor do they care about you, the typical middle class person of any race, creed or culture- period.

The minority groups that the pols support will eventually be used for their social engineering agendas....and those said minority groups typically do not realize this for quite some time. That is, until they throw your minority group under the bus...it has happened several times for African Americans and blue collar workers in the past.

It is the plantation mentality....keep the common man down and living on the plantation- easy to control....and easy to get large voting blocs for the political group/ party who throws some sort of free gibs to the crowd down on said plantation.

Most are still Catholics though and regardless of what faith they are they still believe in large families. I never said that Hispanics are the only Catholics in this country either but they don't usually breed large families. And as I said there's that Reconquista movement....

Default Amy Schumer to DACA Dreamers: ‘We Will Keep Fighting For You

Actress and standup comedian Amy Schumer slammed Trump voters and expressed support for illegal immigrants after the president announced the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program.
The Snatched star cosigned a Facebook post written by left-wing writer Shaun King, in which he attacked “every single American who voted for Trump and ushered in this cruel era of bigotry and white supremacy.”

“Same. Sickening. We will keep fighting for you #dreamers,” Schumer wrote in response on Instagram.
