While I don't agree with Moore, I would not use his comments as a basis to vote against him either. Instead, I would look at his prior public record and vote based on that (and on his platform).
Believes state should use its power to punish homosexual behavior.
Hung the Ten Commandments in his court room.
Opened each court session with prayer.
Removed from state Supreme Court for refusing to remove a 10 Commandment monument he commissioned despite a Federal Court order to do so in 2003.
So God is only concerned about homosexuality? There aren't any other sins punishable by death and destruction? I wonder what we would find if we looked closely at this candidate.
You would find a candidate who was removed from his position as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court for ordering all probate judges in the state to defy the US Supreme Court and deny same sex couples marriage licenses.
Agree or disagree? Was 9/11 caused by the evil ideology that is radical Islam or was it punishment from an angry God on a nation that tolerated (though barely at the time) LGBT people? Never mind the fact that in 2001, there was no gay marriage and you could still go to jail in Baptist strongholds like Texas and Oklahoma for merely being gay.
Wow, I have no words for this idiot. Iḿ shocked there were any ¨yes" answers up there.

Right. God finds other consensual sex sins, such as straight adultery, far easier to tolerate. This is because the straight sex acts to perform such adultery are far less offensive, although the spouse and in-laws may disagree.

Proof? I could easily see his position being that the Constitution doesn't forbid a state from doing so, but I have yet to come across personal opinions from Moore that he believes the state should.

Don't see a problem with having the ten commandments in a courtroom. If they are allowed as a historical, legal display on courthouse steps, why not allow them in the courtroom?
Every federal court session opens with "God save the United States and this honorable court." Its really not as big of a deal as leftists try to make it seem. And, note, the Supreme Court has already ruled that government bodies may open each session with a prayer.

Still, in this case he was wrong not to remove the monument after federal court ordered its removal; note, this is different from a lower federal court overturning a state supreme court, which they are not allowed to do.
The thing is that he was right on the law, technically speaking, for the SSM ban. Based on well-established federal law principles, only the U.S. Supreme Court can overturn a state supreme court (lower federal courts may not do so). Moreover, technically speaking, the Windsor decision had not yet officially been established as binding national case law (there are technicalities involved in this, too), though most courts voluntarily and immediately chose to follow Windsor immediately after the decision was handed down.

He has been endorsed by Sarah Palin.
Doesn't deserve a rebuttal.

He's a birther.
A wacky position of his, but I note that John Podesta aided the birther cause, too, yet the left had no problem with him serving as HRC campaign chairman and with his taking on an even bigger role in the Clinton White House had she won.

He won 39% of the Alabama vote but not enough to win, thus the run off.
He's been leading in most polls for the runoff, I believe?
All in all, he has some views that I'd consider weird. But its telling that he's a more faithful adherent to the Constitution than many on the left who are willing to abuse it on the daily.

So can we assume you voted "yes" in the poll?
