It is an excellent article, just glancing at it. You should be nervous. The list of agents
provocateur that the US has lost total control over is incredibly long and distinguished. What I know about them (other than they showed up in weekly intelligence summaries quite often) is that they desire to rule Iran, and I do mean they, as in the MEK and not the people of Iran (it would some kind of weird royal thing); were active during the Shah's reign trying to over-throw him; killed more than a few US civilians, military personnel and embassy employees; actively attempted to overthrow Khomeini; wrecked havoc during the Iraq-Iran War; and there is/was something unique about their recruiting methods (although I never what exactly).
Granted, leadership changes and so do ideas over time, but if the MEK is anything like they were, they're bad news. And if the US thinks they're going to use the MEK to overthrow the current regime in Iran and maintain control, that is just not gonna happen. I guarantee the MEK would use the US to gain power and then throw the US under the bus.
I'm a devious prick, and I would be training the MEK for a false flag operation to cast blame on Iran
quod vide al-Qaida/Afghanistan. Watch and see if the MEK doesn't become the al-Qaida of the future.
Portending...
