Stooping to a new low, CNN has posted a highly misleading, fake Hurricane Maria forecast. By overlaying Irma's track with Maria's, they make it appear Floridians are due for another major hurricane hit, but that's not the case at all. NOAA warned us to be on the lookout for these fake forecasts, but who would've thought CNN would try it.
I've been watching CNN forecasts today.
Thats not true at all. Not once did I get the impression that Florida is due for another hit.
What is true is that there a number of other hurricanes to watch closely.

It's overlapping in a few areas, as I'm sure is completely normal for storms of this size. Nowhere in the report does it concern Florida, or even mention Florida.

You are really stretching to make the case that CNN is misleading. The article that you linked to has this picture in it, which clearly shows the expected path of Maria. Yes, they do show the path Irma took, as the thrust of the article if about what will happen to the islands that Irma already hit. But, fake forecast? Hardly. I kinda think you are trying to drum up some FAKE NEWS here, why? Do you hate CNN that badly? OH, wait... yes, yes you do.

On a tablet, you don't see the Irma, Maria labels, and the lines are drawn thicker making it look more overlapped. The colors are the only hint that they are different tracks.
Some people are so indoctrinated on fake news that they can't distinguish what is real ands what is fake. I suppose when your sources of information are Russian sponsored fake news sites, Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh or any number of right-wing neo-nonsense sites, you would think that a hurricane had a political party!
This thread is a fail. A rightist can live in their world of alternate facts, but his house will still get blown away in a tornado or swallowed by the sea. Mother nature has a way of bringing back to reality those in La La land.
