Why is it that we can't simply vote out those who lie to us?

When the government is the payer, service get's poorer, and costs to the taxpayer increase. You are going to pay one way or another.

The best solution for the people is free market capitalism.

Thumbs up Would you support Single Payer?

Yep!

It works well in quite a few countries that have fewer resources than the USA has. They're not THAT much smarter then we are. I think we could figure out how to do it.

Since the ACA looks like it will fail, and Repeal and Replace is not going forward it looks like Single Payer will some day become a reality.

What do you think?
I think it is an awesome advance, if we can manage to get it started.

I read or heard somewhere that Medicare was originally conceived as a system for the whole country but started off with the most elderly segment of the population. It works well (I know several people on the system, satisfied) and could get even better with the rest of the population in the pool.

I am all for it!

yeah because there wont be ways around lobbying laws and politicians with absolute power will just go ahead and surrender that money and influence?
Its the fact that politicians have the power and the influence to sell, and its naive to think they'll just give that up or wont find ways around it.
I'd say strip them of that power, but people dont have the stomach for it, so best we can hope for is a complete collapse of the system. Single payer will speed that process up, but at what cost to human life I wonder?

Exactly! Free market is the only way.

Ask yourself, would you like everything to be controlled by a single entity? Remember when the US post office was the only game in town? How would people like only 1 car manufactuer...only 1 power company, only 1 news channel...

Nor do the Democrats. They haven't the courage to support it.
