View Poll Results: Were Trump's Tweets Attacking Puerto Rico Justified?
YES. San Juan Mayor Carmen Cruz's comments against Trump were exaggerated and she deserved a harsh reply. 105 36.71%

Consider: Obama went on a golfing vacation the day after 4 Americans were killed in Benghazi.

Trump can't personally do anything more than he has already done. His criticism was justified, since the Mayor was wrong in calling him out. Much of Puerto Rico's problems in dealing with the aftermath have been self created. Their power grid was in poor condition to begin with. They have done little to upgrade it.

The Trump Administration is doing, and has done, as much as they have done for Texas and Florida. The difficulty with Puerto Rico is that it is an island, and the airport could not immediately be used because of lack of power and traffic control system.

People are too quick (and too eager) to blame this Administration first.

Liberals are once again using this as an opportunity to attack Trump, unjustifiably.

...Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They..want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.
He's 100% right, and not it's surprising considering the track record of the lazy, unorganized Puerto Rican government.

I'm sorry, but attacking a country in that kind of crisis is not acceptable.

Here's how Trump criticized Obama last year following the Louisiana floods:

I'm guessing that Honore is now going to get one of Trump's Twitter blasts. No matter what the situation is it's all about Donald all the time everyday.

It has been reported that people are wandering around in an air conditioned room in San Juan, exchanging business cards instead of going out in the field. They sent word out to all of the mayors to go to San Juan, to their air conditioned fiefdom if they wanted assistance. One of the mayors took part of their fuel for generators, in his town, & went. They gave him some water & food, but not enough for everyone in his town. He was boiling mad & said plenty about it. No backlash from the great pumpkin, though. He saved that for a woman.

American Airlines was ferrying donated supplies from NC companies for a week before starting, yesterday, to bring passengers back. Part of those supplies included those filters that will make water potable. The mayor who wasn't given enough water & food for his whole village has people drinking out of a creek. What's wrong with that picture?

The mayor of San Juan has been approached by other mayors asking if she has any extra food or water.

Why would she not be fed up? Got a good reason? I'm going to assume that you're OK with Trump going on the attack because she's a woman. He did not attack the male mayor who publicly complained.
Why didn't the people themselves have water before the storm? Stock up if a hurricane is coming. Didn't the mayor make sure they had supplies before the storm? People stocked up on propane for cooking on a barbecue and canned goods out of the can before the storm. They should have had a plan before. Had a stock pile of food and water in ALL THE TOWNS and villages. It was a cat 5 for Petes sake.
