Reminds me of a line in a movie. "Calling it your job doesn't make it right".
Everyone who enlists understands that they became government property the day they took the oath. That isn't what is wrong. What is wrong is sending our troops to foreign lands to fight for causes that have little or nothing to do with us. Syria and Libya for example. Niger for another.
I notice many on here justifying Syria and Libya seem to be condemning Trump over this operation which in fact began under Obama.
The woman has every right to question why her husband died, how he died, and how the United States is handling the loss. We all should be asking why we risk the lives of our young soldiers for a cause not our own.
What isn't in question is the man volunteered to serve, he was a soldier. He did what he was ordered to do. Legal orders. It was his job.

I support us having a military.

She deserves more. It's terrible how we treat a widow who has seen her loved one die over a lie. We want to blame everyone else for this countries problems but refuse to blame ourselves. This is no way for a decent country to act.
This.
I've had to address this many times in the past. I am NOT. I am against the current wasteful wars based upon lies with the only purpose to prop up the dollar and wall street.
"we splattered your husband all over the countryside because the markets have to stay inflated".[/quote]
I know this is a very old thread but I did want to give a small update on this.
A book was just released today by Michelle Black the widow of Bryan Black who died in this ambush. It's called "Sacrifice: A Gold Star Widow's Fight For The Truth".
I HIGHLY reccommend reading it. She searched for the truth and the biggest truth comes from the team itself (as it usually does). Many questions are answered. I have cried, laughed, and became angry all while reading this book.
