The entire thing is about promoting abstinence. That's why they are so strongly against abortion, birth control, and sex education. They believe sex for reasons other than procreation is sin and that belief drives all their reproductive policy positions.
We know just how well total abstinence worked for priests.
So American women are too poor to pay $50 or LESS a month for contraceptives and that is why everyone else needs to chip in and pay ?

There is the slippery slope "moral depravity.“ If I was an insurance company investor I would be praying that you are successful in getting the industry to deny health care claims associated with voluntary behavior. You know most cancers are associated with things that we voluntarily put into our bodies. Let’s go for the full monty and get them to deny claims resulting from all the deadly sins that can be traced to biblical or religious doctrine.
That makes sense. If you voluntarily ingest carcinogens for recreational purposes, you should pay more for your insurance. I like that. And if you are a drunk, your premiums should be higher if you want coverage for rehab. That would be fair.
And FWIW the largest group of women that get abortions are low income on medicaid.
Yes..even with FREE contraceptive this is the largest group that get abortions and manage to find money to pay for that.
If people truly care about themselves and their future they will do what is right and find a way to pay for it.
