Condoms are even cheaper. And to suggest that if I don't approve of birth control coverage that I will ultimately pay for all the children born as a result is ridiculous. The government is NOT responsible for anyone's careless behavior.
And if you really believe that "It takes a village "nonsense, let me take you to any third world country and you can see exactly how "the village" treats one of their own who steps out of the bounds of their cultural mores. Not very pretty.
Then why do they force you to save for your old age? Isn't it careless to not do so on your own.
So American women are too poor to pay $50 or LESS a month for contraceptives and that is why everyone else needs to chip in and pay ?
What were they doing before 2012 then ?
We're talking about health insurance here. You chip in to pay for her contraceptives. She chips in to pay for your prostate exam. It's how insurance works. Look it up.
Women who did not have health insurance that covered contraceptives had the option of Planned Parenthood. In case you haven't heard, PPP is under attack as well.
As to less than $50 month, you are not including the doctor visits that is required to get the prescription and to monitor side effects such as blood clots, etc. which is why we are told contraceptives are not available over the counter.
Does anyone seriously take CNN seriously anymore?? They have been so insanely one-sided, biased and corrupt in their news reporting that most of us have simply written them off.

Since ACA though I'm chipping in a hell of a lot more...$400 a month more and I'm not exactly happy about that.
I lost my good high deductible, low premium insurance because of ACA.
