However given how far to the left the party has moved and given how Jim Webb got driven out of the party. I have no doubt Kennedy would be driven out of the party now. So would Truman
Jim Webb would be president right now if the hard left not hijacked the party. He is a good man. don't agree with him on everything but I would not be upset if he were president.
all you did was show everyone here you have zero understanding of policy and are merely cheerleading.
reagan is clearly to the left of Trumpism. the question posed is if he is far enough left to be called a rhino. And it is clear from the poll that so far the vast majority believe that these days the Rs would call Reagan a Rhino..
If you look at the stances he held and the policies that he implemented, it is very possible that today he would be considered by some to be a "RINO".
And yes, that is ridiculous.
Part of the issue with today's Republican party is that there really is no single idea of what it is to be "Republican". More highlighting of just how insufficient our two party system is. It's not really a groundbreaking revelation, either...one shouldn't expect to capture all possible political spectrum/philosophies in just two parties. The same issues affect the Democratic party, too (although not as extremely, I think).
