BTW, to what principle are you referring? Your belief that only white people that speak English should be allowed to live in the United States?
Why is it always tied to race? Billions of non-whites speak or are in the process of learning to speak and understand English.

You're not allowed to tell the truth. When the English settlers arrived, they came upon an established, sovereign United States of Amerindians with a national identity and borders that matched present day. We've been a multilingual polyglot of cultures from around the world ever since, yet somehow have no culture at all. And Lincoln freed the slaves so DACA recipients could go to MIT.

Borders, language, and culture are the essential elements of nationhood. Without these, you don't have a country.

That is all I have to say.

that pertains to the Spanish speaking countries of the Americas, which we are not. Your response was out of context. I was responding to a post that basically posited Amerindian languages occupy an equal or even superior position in this country as indigenous languages. They do not. English is integral to this country in a way that Amerindian languages aren't.

There are tons of place names of Amerindian origin in this country too. But like I argued, that doesn't make those languages integral to America in the same way English is. There are plenty of French origin place names too. Are you going to argue that French is on par with English in this country, too?
