Well keep in mind that while not PC, he is not the first, nor the most prominent person to make such observations.

Comparing what the African continent has accomplished to that of Europe and it's colonies, is like comparing night and day.
Winston Churchill took some slack for his comments, but did what he say differ from the reality/facts?
Those who view most things through a modern PC myopic lens see ____ism instead of a willingness to discuss the merits or lack thereof of these subjects.
Heck the few African nations/cities that are developed beyond 3rd world conditions where done so by white immigrants/colonialists, whether it be the English, French, Dutch, etc.

So does the mere utterance of these facts constitute racism, just because many people find the subject and it related discussions uncomfortable?

It’s kind of ironic that Marc Faber currently chooses to reside in Thailand.

East Asians are among the most communal and collectivist people on the planet.

The truth may set you free but it may also cost you your job and business.

Europe indeed has a notorious history of racism, antisemitism and xenophobia. The difference is, that no nation in Europe ever asserted anything about “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses”.
Neither did the US.

Bangkok is a major world financial center. Tax Cheat Timmy Geithner (Obama's Treasury Secretary) is an alum of the exclusive, private International School Bangkok, as are two of my nieces. My Brother-in-law had an assignment there for many years. HUGE expat community. The Canadians were a LOT of fun!

I see he went with the "everyone else had slaves" excuse.

If it helps ya sleep at night there Marc.

Yes, as said earlier, maybe the whole world would be better if Europeans stayed in Europe.

Since Africans had been trading with the Arabs prior to European colonization, their interactions may have been far more civil and perhaps the Amerindians wouldn't have killed out as much.
