George Papadopoulos, who served as a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, allegedly lied to federal investigators about his interactions with a professor with ties to the Kremlin, according to the statement of offense filed Monday.
He is charged with perjury essentially over his interactions with a professor.

Papadopoulus already admitted as part of his plea deal that it was more than some interactions with a professor.

Well we have that in common. I have always said that I do not believe Trump himself colluded with Russia. I have also said anyone who did she be punished. I stand by that. If I am wrong and Trump was directly involved than he should be too.

Small point but once you plead guilty, the charges are no longer alleged.
I read the entire thing. Seems like George P. put a lot of energy into trying to set up a Trump Campaign / Putin meeting but the campaign did not seem that interested in such a meeting and it never happened. I don't see anything in all of this that points to anything anyone did wrong beside George P.
His mistake was lying to the FBI. A Martha Stewart type of move.
If Hillary showed us anything, it is that you can destroy evidence after it is subpoenaed and not get into trouble for it. Even if you are caught red handed.
