Not in relation to their percentage of the population. In fact, they're VASTLY under-represented on the public assistance rolls.

For example, SNAP enrollment.

Whites (non-Hispanic):

Percentage of US population: 61.3%
Percentage of SNAP recipients: 40.2%

Blacks:

Percentage of US population: 13.3%
Percentage of SNAP recipients: 25.7%

Blacks receive food stamps at a rate that's nearly 3 times higher (1.932/0.656 = 2.945) than Whites.

So now, let's look at Medicaid...

Whites (non-Hispanic):

Percentage of US population: 61.3%
Percentage of Medicaid enrollees: 41%

Blacks:

Percentage of US population: 13.3%
Percentage of Medicaid enrollees: 22%

Blacks are enrolled in Medicaid at a rate that's about 2.5 times higher (1.654/0.669 = 2.472) than Whites.

Sources: USDA, Medicaid, and US Census Bureau

In the 1880s blacks voted for Republicans lol.

It is silly to always think that a political party someone supports is indicative of their educational or financial situation in life or that an entire group of 40 million people don't want to be self sufficient or educated. ETA: This is actually what most of the Civil Rights Movement was about - blacks wanted to be able to be self sufficient without threat of racial violence, to be protected by laws in this country, and for their children to receive a high quality education. Those things are actually the back bone of the cultural tenet of activism in black America.

This was a very weird comment IMO.
Well said...and it is Black America's emphasis on self-sufficiency, protection and education that has opened doors for them and for other groups who came long after them.

So getting married after a few months of dating and subsequently having a child, and then getting divorced a few months later is fine because it is "in wedlock", but having a child after living together for ten years and staying together for the remainder of their life is bad because the child is born "out of wedlock"?

They should be. They had full access to public assistance decades before black americans and have had fewer obstacles overall.

This was a time when Democrats agreed that breaking social norms such as having children out of wedlock and having female headed families is not a good thing and produces chaos and poverty.

Today, the Democrats champion such families in the name of equality.

Hilarious...

...funny how people will convince themselves of anything, even if it is clearly a lie.

Care to disprove my statement? This is the problem with Democrats today, they are unable to differentiate between treating people equally and trying to make them equal. People should be treated well, yet we shouldn't try to legitimize single parent families, just as we shouldn't legitimize being obese or gender dysphoria. People suffering from these things should be treated fairly and equally, but they shouldn't be pushed and encouraged as ways of life.

Sure. The majority of people in my traditional Christian circles vote Democrat, including my parents. They are strongly against children out of wedlock, gender dysphoria, emphasize healthy diets etc. They believe in Biblical laws, including the Sabbath and dietary laws (unlike most supposed Bible-thumping conservatives). However, they believe in freedom of choice and the importance of separation of church and state. They consider the mixing church and state in the way Republicans do, a serious threat to religious freedom. Therefore, they will NOT vote Republican - cannot do so based on principle.

You don't know anything about the personal beliefs of Democratic voters, aa they vary significantly. Like many Republicans (more than other conservatives), you convince yourself of lies and spew ignorance. Most of your kind will never be as individually conservative and adhere to religious principles as seriously as Democrats in my circles.

We can speak about other religions as well...

So are you saying all the white baby daddy's who aren't marrying their baby momma's aren't "sperm donors" too?

That's all I was asking you. I know you like to go on your racial bashing quests with specific statistical categories so you can go on with it if you'd like, but I specifically asked you if you consider the white men to be "sperm donors" and if so, why not call all of them as such.

Oh, so your one anecdotal experience proves that the Demonrat party isn't pursuing policies, which do tremendous harm to the family and that the left attempts to legitimize non-traditional forms of the family in an effort to legitimize their own behavior, particularly via the so called mainstream media and pop culture?

Your own experience is not proof, my friend.

And, as far as religion goes, I'm a non-religious, non-believing conservative, so don't try to turn this into some religious discussion.
