Oh. Why would you think that? You liberals are the ones demanding insane wages to do nothing worth anything other than to ask "would you like that super-sized?"

Oh. How much should one be paid for setting tables or taking orders and running food to a table?

Oh. Like the morons who "graduate" from DeVry think that they can garner a salary of a PM...when all they are qualified to do is first tier HD? "Is your computer turned on"?

You just don't have a clue how much a bartender or waiter can make. Stop going to fast food restaurants. Go to a high in restaurant where you may have to pay $100 or more for your meal. Your tip to that waiter should be 20% unless you are cheap.

WTF are you talking about?

You are the LAST person to tell ME how much a bartender or waitperson can make...even back in the 90's.

I think someone mentioned that these people will be making $418.00 a week give or take.

That's before taxes I'm betting so it would come down to more likely $350 or $320 depending on what taxes they claim. Trump's people are still missing the big picture. Once again Trump ran on giving jobs to Americans this shows that he really doesn't care in the end just like any president regardless of their party. If any member of the left there would be 100 pages of right wing outrage over this.

So why isn't the right more upset about this? Is it because in the end they don't really care about jobs being taken from Americans? I'm betting this is the case as many have posted at least it's not Hillary in office.

Since it's seasonal work, they would still be available when coal mining makes its big comeback.
Plus they could live in Florida part of the year! Sounds like a good deal to me.

The NYT? Front page?

You might want to read the ad.

It wasn't calling for bartenders.

Gotta carry 25 lbs and take orders, set tables, clear tables, run food orders.

Not exactly brain surgery.

This is why people who are paid to perform these types of menial jobs, are paid what they are.

Doesn't matter if it's the only job you can get can get b/c you have 10 kids you can't afford.

That's your problem.
It should have been on Seek, Careerbuilder, etc- places where most people look for jobs these days.

Plus, it asked that applications be faxed. This isn't 1993. How many people do you know with a fax machine in their home nowadays?

It is clear to me that this tiny print ad, lost in amongst the dozens of other classifieds in a local rag, and only ran twice was only there so that they could say "look, we tried to hire Americans... but it seems many Americans don't buy the newspaper in 2017, let alone have a fax machine. Oops!"

So then they could just hire on foreign workers, which rusty had intended to do all along.

It's hard working not wanting to choke a customer who thinks they are better/ entitled then you are.
Running orders all day back and forth takes it toll and isn't for everyone. It takes more brains then you might think.

It's still mostly nonsense and those who claim that are usually defending illegal aliens doing them when obviously where Americans can't be found to do a job one could use legal workers.
