Watching a news show when a foreign policy guest was asked how Trump ended up such a bunch of loonies as foreign policy advisors.

The guy said because anyone with any sense kept their distance. They literally could not find anyone who knew which end was up to join the team.

Guess we should all be grateful that Mattis agreed.

There's a nice diagram showing the Wilbur Ross Russian concection on the BBC site below.

Paradise Papers: Commerce chief Wilbur Ross's links with sanctioned Russians - BBC News

Trump commerce secretary's business links with Putin family laid out in leaked files - The Guardian

It's also alleged that a Russian Businessman Alisher Usmanov has a significant investment in two premier league football clubs Arsenal and Everton.

Premier League rules state an individual who owns a stake of 10% or more in one club cannot hold a single share in another, to avoid any conflict of interest, including in games between the clubs and in transfers.

Paradise Papers: Who is in control of Everton? - BBC News

But Trump is "draining the swamp" right?
Yeah, yeah, that's it - "draining the swamp".

Not to worry.

Ross's spokesperson says he's been "generally supportive" of the Russian sanctions.

Good to know.

I wonder at what point the cultists will run out of excuses for this corrupt administration.

I'm betting that point doesn't exist--though I must say they've been awful quiet here today.

So is this the "smoking guns" libs?

While I've thoroughly enjoyed your hysteria over the last past 2 years I'm getting a little bored with the Putin-Trump stuff (though the Pikachu connection a few weeks back was awesome).

So let's see how Pence ruffles your feathers. Bring on Pence!

Default Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross Failed to Disclose Ties to Putin's Family

The plot thickens. . . Wilbur Ross, the commerce secretary in the Trump administration, shares business interests with Vladimir Putin’s immediate family, and he failed to clearly disclose these when he was being confirmed for his cabinet position. Ross was supposed to honestly disclose his financial dealings prior to his confirmation to prevent any conflict of interest, something he did not do when submitting the financial disclosure documents required.
