You can see a map of states that allow concealed carry at this link: (hint, it's all the states)

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...shootings.html

As the maps show in the nytimes article:

Open carry of handguns is also allowed in nearly every state, it looks like it's not legal in 3 states.

Even open carry of long guns is allowed in nearly every state.
No it's not allowed "everywhere". Counties like mine won't issue and there are a lot of those counties. I shouldn't have to move across the State or Country to be able to CCW.

Crazies and idiots make the country dangerous, not guns. And we have no shortage of either.

Most large mass shootings don't happen in the ghetto.

CA removed stealing a gun worth less than 1000 from the felony list. Less felons

Which should not be the case based on pro-gun talking points. We should be the safest in the world with so many people owning guns.

Why the contradiction?
I am no way a "pro gun" person, but after doing the research i will admit guns are not the issue.

The pharmaceutical industry prescribing unnecessary amounts of drugs to people turning them into monsters is the root of the problem... the gun is just the tool these monsters use.

Only in the eyes of right wing extremists. The rest of us find it the best source around. It does lean left editorially but it is still an exceptional source of truth...even though some dislike truth.

No where in that post did the poster say that "mass shootings happen in the ghetto"

A mass shooting is what spurred the recent conversation about guns

The fact that there are so many ghettos in the US and that they're so violent still reflects on the country as a whole.

These are problems that need to be addressed, not swept under the rug.
