They're cultists.

The funny thing is that the biggest supporters of tax cuts for the rich are the poorest parts of America. Places like West Virginia, Alabama and Mississippi have huge Trump support, while places with actual rich, educated people generally hate Trump.

The richest county in the U.S. (Manhattan) has the lowest % of Trump support. It also happens to be Trump's home county. People who know Trump, his actual lifelong neighbors, are well aware he's a fraud and lifetime grifter.

The rednecks just know Trump from "Celebrity Apprentice" and think he's a "successful businessman".

In before communist, socialist, how much should we "steal" from the rich, etc. this isn't a tax policy topic.

What?

Exactly what on earth are you talking about when you say the rest of us pick up the tab. The top one percent of this country pay most of the taxes. In 2013, the top 1% payed more income taxes than the bottom 90% did combined. And since the only tab I can think of that you could be talking about would be taxes, I'd say your argument makes no sense. You say this isn't a tax policy topic. What else could you possibly be talking about? What tab are we picking up for the rich? I'm sorry, but this thread was broken from the start.

And just for the record, it's not about defending or taking up for the rich. It's about supporting capitalism and the right of every man and woman in this country to run a business and make a profit. There are many, many self-made millionaires in this country, and I don't think they should have to give up what they've earned to make people with less money happy. I wonder how many of the rich-bashers would spread their wealth around if they suddenly found themselves flush with cash. If you want to be wealthy, get out there and make it happen. There is no reason the wealthy should just give you their money!

PS. Do you actually think a business owner with 5 employees would actually be a "rich" man? If business is going good, then I'm sure they'd be comfortable. But rich, no.

*****I may not agree with what you say, but I'd defend to the death your right to say it!*****

Rich people can choose to hire and spend where they want, if you drive the rich away or keep people from obtaining wealth like real communism (not China's current communism in name only) and corrupt countries like Venezuela and most of Africa, you will not have a well functioning society.

I think it's funny how I keep seeing libs refer to Republicans and Trump supporters as "cultists" now. Someone's been watching a little too much "American Horror Story". Seriously, this didn't start until that show aired. Now I see it all the time. It's a TV show people, not real life. And if you are honest, you'd see the libs in that show are just as crazy as the alt righters.

The amount of money one brings in is immaterial to the discussion, despite what the left wing kooks want you to believe.
Consumers pay taxes and the poor consume a lot so fail on your part.
Consumers also pay a lot to the finance sector.

Paying money to the finance sector is not taxes...

They're blinding holding onto the neoliberal Reaganonics mentality of the 80s to the 00s era. An era that led to the many of the problems we have economically speaking today. They believe big business are a god and dociley follow what they say. In the end profits is their goal.
