It doesn't make any sense. These Republicans would defend the rich keeping their money to themselves, ill-gotten or not, and leaving the rest of us to pick up the tab. The rich live in this society, too, and they don't need any coddling at all, especially not from people that make 1/100th of what they make. US society is very unusual in the way that they think rich people have it really bad a lot of times as welll, these Republicans think the rich will look out for the, just because they own a 5 employee business

In before communist, socialist, how much should we "steal" from the rich, etc. this isn't a tax policy topic.

I keep hearing about these rich people that became rich by keeping the money to themselves. How exactly do they do this?

If you got this part wrong, there is no need to even continue on with your nonsense...

Why do poor and working-class Republicans care so much about the rich's financial well-being?
We don't. That's just a straw man that you made up so that you could maintain a feeling of moral superiority. He actually doesn't exist at all.

What’s wrong with being fair? Having more money doesn’t mean you should have less fairness...

I think people who own small businesses identify, right or wrong, with all business owners, even very large corporations that enjoy benefits they will never realize. That is just one example. Beyond that, I can only offer this:

I think people should enjoy the fruits of their efforts. The problem is, there are a very select few who are enjoying the fruits of lots of other people's efforts.

maybe, just maybe, its because people who PAY TAXES, believe the amount they pay, is far more than enough, when 1/2 the nation pays zero in income taxes, and those individuals, understand there are others who have an even higher tax bracket than they do, and think its just as wrong.

The amount of money one brings in is immaterial to the discussion, despite what the left wing kooks want you to believe.

Thats not true. We all enjoy the fruits of Bill Gates efforts because without it, computers wouldnt be what they are today. We all enjoy fruits of Warren Buffets efforts, when we drink a coke, or eat at Dairy Queen. The fact that we have to pay for these luxuries and someone else is on the receiving end, doesnt mean we dont benefit as well. We all cant learn computer programming in order to key on web forums...

Without wealth we would all be poor. No employers, no businesses, no malls, no supermarkets, no movies, no pizza, no businesses , no eateries. Nothing. No products, no houses to buy, nothing. nothing, Live in a grass hut and eat tree roots.

why do you want to punish the rich? why are you the one jealous of what they made of themselves? hae you ever dealt with rich people on a daily basis? i have. i used to work at a four star resort where the captains of industry, the movie stars, movie directors, essentially the top one percent stayed. and i can tell you that from dealing with these people the only difference between them and the rest of the world is their money. they all have the same hopes, fears, wants, needs, etc. as the rest of us do.

they just have money disposable income to pass around. and these people were all generous not just with their money, but with their time as well.

so tell me why you hate the rich? why do oyu want to punish them and take away what they earned? why do you think you should get a portion of their money?
