It makes perfect sense - working Americans are working to become rich. The last thing we want is left wing mooches taking what we've worked hard to get and passing it around to their special interest groups to buy votes.

Because the guy on the TV box said that the wealth would eventually trickle down. If the guy on the TV box says it, it’s the Truth.
These people have been waiting for Jesus to come back for 2,000 years. Why wouldn’t they believe that the wealth would eventually trickle down?

That is a intentional misrepresentation of what trickle down is and how it works by the Left.
Trickle down is nothing but capitalism working the way that it's designed to....it is not a guarantee of economic gain by anyone.
What trickles down is not wealth....but the opportunity to create your own wealth.
But you have to go out and get it yourself.....if you sit on your ass waiting for it to fall into your lap, someone else is going to stand up and take your share of it.
The wealthy do pay their taxes but they can afford to hire the best to take advantage of the tax codes. I shouldn't even say they take advantage of the tax code because everyone of us will use the rules to pay as little as possible. I don't think there are too many that gladly pay more then they need to.
Working class Republicans "care' about the rich's financial well being because if they didn't they might as well be biting the hand that feeds them.
Because that person warning the 25,000 a year is going to need that extra 2500 for necessities. If you're making 1.5M, you can afford to take a 30% hit. If you're making 1.5B, you can more than afford to pay up 50%. Flat income tax takes away necessities from the non-rich. The truly rich, which in your example are the millionaires and billionaires, do not have to worry about necessities. They certainly don't need YOU, a peon, to worry about them. They don't care. They can get taxed 50%, and still have money left over for their chauffeur the poor barely have anything, and you wanna take away everything they have and leave them with just their eyes to cry with? Of course you do. It boggles the mind why you want the US to be so much like Russia or Latin America
so you admit that you and your beliefs DISCRIMINATE against people once they reach a certain level of income (with that level ever changing). you admit that you believe that certain people below that level should (in you eyes) NOT CONTRIBUTE to their country
Republicans hate unions because they have the best healthcare and benefits. Democrats support unions because they take care of the middle class.
unions USED to take care of their people (the workingclass)...now they don't, they are a corporation now, and their interests are themselves, the only benefits we get are their scraps...the liberals want two classes...the rich elite liberal masters (and union masters), and the poor serfs, living of the scraps left over from their masters and welfare
That's funny, because when I worked in construction, I worked in both union and non-union companies, and the the guys in the union outfits were faster and more skilled than the non-union guys, who were mainly Mexican nationals (aka illegals)
that's funny, because when I worked in a union field, the union guys were the laziest, and had an attitude, ""sorry I cant do that, union rules, you have to wait for the other guy that is paid extra to do that""
unions are now a nasty corporation, they have now become exactly what they were created to fight
why do you want to punish the rich? why are you the one jealous of what they made of themselves? hae you ever dealt with rich people on a daily basis? i have. i used to work at a four star resort where the captains of industry, the movie stars, movie directors, essentially the top one percent stayed. and i can tell you that from dealing with these people the only difference between them and the rest of the world is their money. they all have the same hopes, fears, wants, needs, etc. as the rest of us do.
they just have money disposable income to pass around. and these people were all generous not just with their money, but with their time as well.
so tell me why you hate the rich? why do oyu want to punish them and take away what they earned? why do you think you should get a portion of their money?
Because some get a tax payer, funded free education, free grants and funding because they are a minority in college and STILL can't be successful. Their jealousy is misguided. The rich have given them enough. It's not the rich people's fault some still fall flat on their face after all that free stuff.
