I have heard that marijuana is stronger, much stronger, than in my youth. I suppose the last puff I had was around 1975. Good weed was mighty hard to find back then. It was $10 for an ounce. The best was from Hawaii, while one had to be on the lookout for "Kansas weed", which looked like marijuana and smelled like marijuana, but smoking a pound of it would only irritate your throat.
You have heard correctly.
I don't smoke joints anymore and I don't know anyone who does. I prefer to vape or ingest. It's easier to control the dose. Oddly for this context, one of the uses I have for marijuana is that it calms my GI symptoms (GERD and IBS) - many people use it for this.
The advantage to it being so much stronger is that you need to use much less of it - a little goes a long way. So it's very cost-effective and much less irritating to your throat and lungs than the $10 lids were.
The Kansas weed was the remains of legal hemp culture, which ended sometime in the 40s, I believe. I vividly remember my sister's then BF going on a family trip to the midwest in about 1970 and being astounded and thrilled to see "marijuana" growing wild in empty lots and along railroad tracks. Until he tried smoking it.
Oh no! I've been using it every day (more or less) for 45 years! When will I scromit????????
Nevermind. You are the same poster who believes using marijuana causes people to eat faces off (I'm not kidding, the OP truly believes that), believes that anyone who has used marijuana in the last 28 days should not be working, and believes that all marijuana users (even medical) should be required to wear a bracelet at all times that informs the police of their location. That way, when they get violent from their marijuana use the police can quickly locate them.
I'm not making this up.
Need I say more?
Except that in all of those discussions I also cited all the facts and evidence supporting those stances.
"Chronic cannabis users are at risk of experiencing a horrifying new condition that is being reported at hospitals across the country. 'Scromiting,' doctors say, is becoming an all-too-familiar site at emergency rooms, with patients 'screaming and vomiting' as they turn up for help."
More bad news for the notion that pot is safe and great. The drugs build up in your brain and cause vomiting and screaming. Chime: but, but, but, big pharma!
weed has been used for thousands of years. millions of Americans use weed . Weed use in the USA goes back hundreds of years.
99% of weed users are doing fecking great. This is just another scare story by stupid people who like to pretend the bud is bad.
more people will die from alcohol abuse this year than weed killed has ever killed.
can you die from abusing drugs? damn sure. Which is the safer to abuse ? weed by far. just don't abuse any of them.
if you take a couple of hits everyday stop doing it every day. if you have a couple of drinks every day stop doing it every day...
it is easy. those suffering from chronic puke belly should just stop.
be more concerned about combustion and oils. low temp bud/flower vaping (in moderation) is likely the safest route.
Hence why I submitted a link to a San Diego news station, herein.
"herein"...do i detect a fellow esq.? Perhaps your name should've given a clue haha
