How did you end up on a situation where people post memes and pretend they are making worthwhile points? The Internet got too easy to use, I guess.

But for all his faults (and they were many), Ronald Reagan at his most befuddled looks like a freakin' statesman compared to what we've been saddled with now.

This Nation has fallen for several reasons, but I would list the inability to compromise between the two sides as being a big factor, same thing happened right before the Civil War, as some call it the War of Northern Aggression. Our government is built on a multi party government that balances itself through compromise, but the last couple of decades we drifted further and further from that principle until we reached the point we are at today. Unfortunately I see no change coming any time soon so it looks like we may have to learn the lesson the hard way which is the best way to make a lesson stick, let's just hope there is a Nation to rebuild when the dust clears.

Or just the existence of two(and effectively only two) sides for that matter.

They are hung up on Obama and still talking about Hillary !

It's funny though....Reagan was tearing down walls in Eastern Europe and Trump wants to build them in America!

Stop worrying about transgendered bathrooms when the better question should be where did the GOP (Grand Old Pedophiles) "go wrong" when they are about to elect one Alabama?

Blaming the other party when your party is just as guilty is why we're in the mess we are now.

How intelligent do you have to be to NOT understand that?

Breakdown of the family
Leftist educational system
Dumbed down population
Too many takers & welfare dependents - cycle of dependency on govt.
Too many illegals

So hypocrisy is the reason we're in the mess we are now. That's good to know. Its laughable too.

Just the facts and that's not laughable but sad. The fact that you think it's funny is even more scary.

Reagan was loved partly because of his casual conversational style - a superficial reason that is probably the same for many Trump supporters. Ignorant, superficial voters are now gulled by Trump in the same way, even though he's all negative bluster, unlike Reagan. But if you were better informed, you'd know about all the black marks against Reagan.

Here's some reading, if you'd like to learn a little something.

Ronald Reagan: Worst President Ever?
There’s a growing realization that the starting point formany of the catastrophes confronting the United States today can be traced to Reagan’s presidency.
https://consortiumnews.com/2012/02/2...resident-ever/
Thanks for posting those links to remind us how Reagan was a less than stellar President:

#1: The Iran/ Contra scandal where Ollie North became the scape goat

#2: The AIDS crisis and how he ignored it because it was a "Gay" disease at first and because of his inaction we have over 1 Million Americans infected with HIV and /or AIDS.

#3: He gave Amnesty to 3 Million Illegals yet the rightwingers ignore that to this day & even when Dubya had both sides of Congress did nothing on Immigration reform.

#4: His tax cuts in the 1980's worked for who?
Apparently not the US economy because 2 years into the Vice President Bush presidency we had a recession !
Wasn't "trickle down" supposed to work?
