If that were the case, Obama would have taken Alabama both times.

Stop living in the past, this is 2017 and your pretense that today's Democratic party is the same as it was in the 1930s and 1940s is absurd. Fortunately the voters are smart enough to know better.

But no, I didn't say that the Democratic candidate had a chance against Luther Strange, exactly the opposite. As to whether he has one against Roy Moore, unless you have a crystal ball, we'll all just have to wait another few hours to see.

What makes you think that. You're not.
The goal of Progressivism has not changed, since it adapted Marxism in the 1890's, as the means to the end.

The presidential race was quite different, this is a close race and if blacks and minorities turn out in large numbers it could tilt the race. Women could also swing the election.

Roy Moore losing would be the worst outcome for democrats in the long run. Either way it turns out the republicans lose, they get that 1 vote in the senate but their support will be remembered.

I used to feel sorry for the good Repubs, but since they do not stand up against him that sympathy factor was diminished greatly.
Agreed. Oddly enough, I think it would be better for the Dems to lose to Moore. It would make the Dems look even better than if they won the seat.

If moore wins it is bad for republicans to elect such a man. if moore loses it is bad for republicans to lose an important senate seat. terrible choice for republican voters in alabama.

I'm sorry but I can't grasp what you are trying to say here. Democratic support of who will be remembered in a way that will have a negative long term impact?
