I know someone who said this has been going on for years. Unbelievable! These are jobs real americans can do and LEGAL immigrants as well.

Why don't the "real americans" take those jobs? Since they are offering $35 an hour, there must be a reason why "real americans" are turning them down. Could it be because such jobs are back-breaking and very dangerous?

Because $35 will only buy you three packs of cigarettes in NYC?
Because you can pay illegals less since they are working "under the table" for cash, so no social security, unemployment, disability, etc., taxes have to paid?
Because you don't have to give them health or any other kind of insurance?
Because you don't have to put them on the books?
Because if they complain, you can threaten to call "la migra"?
Because the contractor who hired them is illegal, too?
I see lots of possibilities....
And, really, who would expect a skilled legal U.S. citizen to work on constructing a skyscraper in Manhattan for less than $75 an hour plus benefits...?

Lot of them are not under the table, and do pay taxes.
Over 3 million illegals pay about $13 billion annually into Social Security alone. The Heritage Foundation (conservative) says they pay $17 billion in taxes per year.
