President Trump is absolutely the greatest on the economy. Dow breaks 25,000 (party, money)

The 5% stated it too high. Closer to 4.5% now. So, investors can make 4.5% or they can invest in bonds and make 2%.
I guess millions are going to have to keep working instead of retiring.
I think the reason no Trump fans are posting is they are busy buying because they just know the DOW is going to steam on past 30 in a month or two. With normal or "great" returns since Tax Reform and Tariffs, it should already be well over 30K (given normal returns in 2.2 years).
Three weeks ago, economists predicted that the early days of the Coronavirus would help the U.S. economy, and then it did. THe uptick for the U.S. economy had everything to do with CHina's market slowing down during the outbreak, and nothing to do with anything Trump did.
Trump voters: "Oh my God, Trump is the greatest president ever when it comes to the economy!"
Fast forward to today, the market has seen back to back days of enormous stock market losses, due to the Coronavirus:
Trump voters: "It's the Coronavirus, nothing Trump can do about that."
Oh, the hypocrisy from Trump supporters. Take all the credit when things are going well, but crickets when things aren't going well.

Trump has been foolish by claiming credit for the run up in the market. The market can turn on a dime at any time. Sometimes for what seems like a logical reason like the Corona virus. Sometimes for no apparent reason at all. The subprime mortgage meltdown that precipitated the Great Recession and market sell-off caught a lot of supposedly savvy investment pros completely off guard. This market has been due for a correction for some time now. If it wasn't the Corona virus something else would have triggered it. Trump would be wise to keep his mouth shut about the market and let it run its course. Then he won't have egg on his face every time there is a sell-off.
I think this is different. It's not just panic anymore but real damage done to the economy. For months, airlines have suspended flights to one of the largest economies on this planet. And that country has quarantined an entire province of 10s of millions of people.
We're no longer an island. Our corporations require revenue from the Chinese consumer. Expect a recession.

I get what you're saying but disagree.
Thank god for the internet and technology. Lots of business can be done online or via videophone to mitigate human contact and the cancelled flights (for business).
I think the market will rebound as soon as this passes.
