Maybe all those idiot gender/race/sexual orientation studies majors should consider changing to STEM majors so that they can benefit from the new high tech jobs?
Well, I'm not going to point fingers superficially at what people major in.
Considering that only about roughly 30% of the country holds any college degree at all, the people in college aren't the problem, it's the 66% who are complaining about can't find a high paying job that are the problem (and on top those who even have the audacity to call those highly educated "elites" like if it's a bad thing lol). You can't blame the ones in college if you yourself aren't in college.
This is excellent news for the country. Nice work Apple, your company is the biggest shining example of American success and innovation in the 21st century. Millions of American workers invest in the company indirectly and directly, generating wealth and growing the economy.
Other than the fact that these great companies have been stashing their money overseas for years, avoiding paying US taxes, with Apple and Microsoft being the biggest stake contributors.
Apple is racist for not putting their factory in some third world sh%thole nation.

Unfortunately, there are not enough Black and Female Engineers out there.
I'm an Aerospace Engineer working in Defense for an F100 Company and the company I work for is always recruiting Black and female Engineers. When they can find them, they never get laid off, ever, which leads to even a smaller pool of available Black and Female Engineers on the open market.
It is a racist company that is mostly White or Asian and male. They should hire more Women and Blacks and Native Americans!

Actually most SV companies have distorted demographics that totally fail to represent the nation as a whole.
1. They have FAR too many Asians. (racial preferences run amok)
2. They have too few whites (reverse discrimination)
3. Too few blacks and hispanics (traditional discrimination)
4.. They have vastly disproportionate Jewish upper management and founders (Jewish Supremacy)
5. They have far too many young employees compared to older employees (ageism)

Most SV companies just hires the best talent without regards to diversity. Just happens that those are the demographics that contains the most qualified people. I don't think they intentionally do it.

Apple isn't just going to pick college grads, they find the cream of the crop. Like Intel does.
Well, I suspect that they will cross those eating Tide pods off the list rather quickly.
