The Continuing Resolution did not get voted down. It didn't even get voted on! And the reason for that is the filibuster to keep it from being voted on in the Senate, which was started by Schumer and/or the rest of the democrats. The Republicans need 60 votes to stop a filibuster, which they cannot do if the Democrats stay the course with Schumer. That is why it is called a Schumer Shutdown.

another spin. the wall isn't the issue shutting down this federal budget bill. the reason the democrats are shutting down the budget bill and refusing to fund paychecks for military families is immigration reform. illegal aliens are more important to democrats than our military families.

DACA does indeed have bipartisan support in America and in Congress as well.
Congress has had five months to negotiate. Another month of negotiations isn't going to change matters and deportations start in March.

Like I said, it requires a degree of intellectual honesty, which you seem to be lacking. It takes 60 votes to get over the filibuster in the Senate. There are 51 GOP Senators. Math says that's a shortfall of 9 votes for those playing the home version of our game.
Schumer shut it down to get what he wants without compromise. He, and Democrats own this.
Dems are in deep DooDoo. They've boxed themselves into an indefensible position, prioritizing illegal aliens OVER US Citizens. And now they can't think of a way to get out of it without having to admit that that's EXACTLY what they did.
