There's a process and they will follow it. Just because they are not yet at a point of prosecuting Avenatti does not mean they will not eventually be there. The IRS is not going to release private info on a taxpayer untile they take them to court.
If Avenatti didn't owe the bill or discharged it either via Tax Court or Bankruptcy, he would be able to show that. There would be a notice or a court settlement doc. Either there is not or he chooses not to share it......you decide.
It would seem, according to the settlement with the primary unsecured creditor in the Bankruptcy case, that the Debtor had already worked out a plan with the IRS "in full satisfaction of its claims" long ago that will go into effect after the Debtor's (apparently unopposed) application to dismiss the Chapter 11 case is granted. Do you have any reason to believe that the terms of the Stipulation have been violated by Avenatti or that he is getting prosecuted for tax fraud at this point or are you just speculating?
trump's 2017 personal financial disclosure is due today. if he repaid cohen from his personal funds and not from campaign funds, as giuliani claims, he will have to report it on this filing.

Just another sign of Giuliani's stupidity. He has forced Trump's hand in such a way that it is a lose-lose. Regardless of the outcome, it looks bad for Trump.
Either:
A) Trump does not report the payoff on his personal financial disclosure. Which means Giuliani lied, Trump did use campaign funds, which means he broke campaign finance laws.
or
B) Trump does disclose the payoff to Stormy Daniels on his personal finance disclosure, all but admitting to the world that he had a sexual relationship with a porn star, and paid her using his own money not to ever talk about it.
Either way, it makes Donald Trump look like trash.

If B, then it should be reported as a campaign contribution.
We'll see.
