The political elite of both parties are almost always very rich. And almost always detached from ordinary people. To them $1,000 bonuses are a pittance. The R's embrace it publicly however because they are getting the credit. The D's let their true feelings be known because they aren't getting credit. What they don't realize is the snobbery in their comments just turn off and push away ordinary people.
Ask the low wage workers like those at Walmart or Disney who are receiving the money, and I'm sure they would say $1,000 is not crumbs.
Lots of right wingers have always trashed low wage workers as being beneath them and contributing nothing worthwhile to society. Just look at BobNJ1960's posts for starters.
then again, that should have been obvious when someone like Nancy Pelosi is your speaker and the 2016 Dem candidate spent most of her time doing Hollywood fundraiserse
The middle-class cannot be controlled with subsidies yet they don't have the power to enrich politicians, so they have no value to the political elite. Yet, they can still vote - for now.
of course Trump is not part of the middle class. He however, clearly makes the attempt to connect with the middle class. People like Hillary and Nancy Pelosi don't give a crap about the middle class and it is obvious
Nobody cares about Hillary or Pelosi, and any progressive worth his salt will tell you that. Comparing failed Democrat leaders to Trump, and then trying to use that to justify Trump's bigotry, greed, and crooked idiocy is laughably absurd.
The reality is that the left abandoned Hillary because she's a crook; the right, meanwhile, love Trump because he's a crook. Grow up.

Just remember - when a poor person who's working class ends up with "free money" from the government, it's a bad thing, according to the right. But when the government hands out "free money" to almost everyone, suddenly it's a good thing. Hypocrites. Based on that logic, bank robbery is OK, provided everyone gets a share of the loot.

Keep spouting that nonsense while at the same time telling mininum wage workers they don't deserve pay raises or health insurance.

Stupid post.
No one, rich or poor, is being given anything. The new tax bill simply reduces the rate at which government seizes money WE, as in all taxpayers, EARNED, in a manner fairly proportionate to what they seized from us for 2017.
