Yes, their entire Russian narrative has always been based on lies.
The media actively took part in creating this false narrative, they know it wasn't true, they have absolutely no credibility.
Any legitimate media outlet would be champing at the bit for a story that could be bigger than Watergate, not actively working to spread misinformation about the corruption, and those that are fighting to expose it.

The memo isn't claiming incompetency, it is claiming outright abuse of the surveillance apparatus. Some that have seen the memo say it outlines criminal acts to conspire against the president.
We'll soon see for ourselves the level of corruption outlined in the memo, but this isn't about incompetency.

They CANNOT reference the original documents. The original documents are CLASSIFIED. Trump and Nunes know this, which is why they want the memo released. Because rebutting the memo is a nightmare for national security.
