I put this in an existing thread but everyone is so busy fighting they ignored me so I deleted it.
I heard fourth hand today that Trump wants military parades with forced attendance and if a person refuses, they are branded a traitor! Has anyone else heard this? O M G if this is true. Heil Hitler.

I don't think he has a lot of comparison to Hitler, Trump is a wanna be dictator of a different flavor. He is more like a Mafia thug, but that's beside the point.
Where did you hear the part about attendance being required? A little skeptical of this claim without some sources. But then again - with Trump nothing would really surprise me at this point.
You shouldn't need sources. Unless you, too, believe that attendance at a parade could in any way be "forced."

The United States doesn't need to do that crap because we have the mightiest military in the world. You know what France, Japan, and Poland all have in common? They lose wars.
Then US has even more reason to celebrate their military.
Maybe if something is superior they should be ashamed and hide, or go on apology tours for it.
That is why all kids get trophies, and people were happy the Patriots lost.
In Trump's America we do not need to feel ashamed of success.
It's ok for France or Japan or Poland or many other countries besides North Korea and Russia to have military parades but it's somehow wrong if US does it.
France, Japan, Hillary, Obama. . . Trump is the president, not Emmanuel Macron or Hillary Clinton, as you and others have reminded us umpteen times. And we are not France or Poland, are we? This is the great country of the USA, and we have a narcissistic moron as POTUS.

I think folks didn't respond in the other thread because whether or not you support a parade the whole notion of mandatory attendance seems ridiculous.
Blah, blah, blah. You must think America is stupid! The rank and file's morale was at an all time low during Obama's rule.
He clearly hated the military. Now the morale is high. The new sheriff in town respects law and order and those that serve.
