Why does he care about anything? He's rich and getting paid for life. If it was me, I would disappear as much as I could too.
Because for some people money is not their motivation in life. Obama has money, but came from nothing and worked his way up by hard work, dedication, and a love of America. Just because he has retired doesn't change those principles.
Just like Jimmy Carter could sit back and enjoy his retirement, but, instead, he is out there swinging a hammer to help other people have a house they can call their own. Some people are just good people, who care about others. Obama and Carter fall into that category.

Yeah..my thoughts exactly. It seems like the DNC wasn't happy either. Obummer is toxic to the dems. Remember, that arrogant elitist jerk told Americans that he would consider it a "personal insult" to HIS LEGACY if Hillary didnt get elected to continue to push his America hating policies. Guess we know how that turned out..
He firmly believes that the "system" will work. That our nation has endured through this, and worse. Either our Constitution functions and the scourge is eradicated, or we fail. Nothing he can do, in spite of our wish to have him go in and quickly set things straight once again, can be any stronger than what our Nation collectively can do.
So he leaves The Donald to his space and believes good will prevail over evil. It seems to be taking a long time (too long), but little by little the Donald is burying himself and headed on a sure path to self destruction. Pray god he doesn't take he Nation with him.
The nation will prevail regardless. It's always been bigger than one man can destroy. You will all come out the other side of this with an affirmed commitment to see that current events do not repeat themselves in the same spectacular fashion.
