Today, Florida Speaker of the House Richard Corcoran also called for the sheriff to resign. The clock is ticking for this sheriff!
So, corcoran is working on a run for governor, and needs to be front and center on anything he thinks will help support his run, get his name out in front of the voters. Months from now, nobody will remember which side he came down on, but his name will ring a bell.
The guy is an open Muslim, too. How does that tie in?

Y'know, if people want to take offense at the sheriff for being incompetent, just focus on that. No need to drag religion into it. That is pretty slimey. Also, no reason to drag politics into it, either. Incompetence knows no religious or political boundaries. Bringing in spurious claims that have no bearing on the issue just serves to further the divides among us. Of course, if that is your goal....
