The issue in Israel is terrorism.

There is no right to bear arms in Israel. No way a 19 year old civilian would be allowed to buy/ possess a gun, let alone a semi- automatic.

The civilian gun ownership rate in Israel is a fraction of what it is in the US. Geography matters. Schools closest to the strip and hot borders border receive more attention and protection than other schools.

Private security, LE and the military profile civilians- specifically Palestinian Arabs.

There has been a land dispute between Israel and Palestinian Arabs since Israel was created, following WW2.

The situation in the US is very different. Mass shooters blend in with the general population and geo- politics is not a factor.

NRA and online media have been making and repeating false claims about Israel for years.

It used to be Switzerland that was hailed as the Utopia with a firearm in every home and the streets filled with joyous white people sporting guns, but there is just too much information on Switzerland now, dagnabbit!

No one ever mentions Japan's strict gun laws and low murder rate.

There is a great deal of Selective Perception/Observer Bias going on in the gun debate of course maybe they are all just Troll threads.

Them guys is plumb stingy with their bullets. And you gotta let them count them and take the empties back to get a refill.

What a pain. I'll be right here in my garage with my seventeen AR-15s and the 20,000 rounds of ball ammo I bought last year stacked up around me. The wife don't know I spent the money we'd been saving for a new car, but you got to have priorities. They could come to take my guns any time, and I might have to fight off the entire United States Army to keep them.

Damn. I wish I'd bought some snacks while I was at it...

I think the OP mistyped one word in his thread title. It should read: Israel Disproves the NRA's Arguments.

Kudos for all of you who did some research vs blindly following troll rhetoric. I'm beginning to think that there's hope that American's will finally wise up about this insidious troll crap. We can make a difference together.

Or maybe someone else would have been shot in the chaos. I think sometimes people watch too many movies and look at a complex issue through simple minded eyes. This isn't the wild west.
