Do those stats exclude suicide? If not then they are meaningless.

As to our sick, insane, corrupt, bankrupting, evil Military Industrial Complex: we know that at least 1,354,664 American servicemen were killed during wars (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United...lties_of_war); I say "at least" since government will always minimize these numbers (by outright falsification, if needed). As to the number killed during training, don't believe any numbers the military provides (very bad press!): I personally know of 5 people killed during training & normal operations over a 3 year period (late 1980s) associated with submarines from the Groton CT Naval Base.

Now add to that, "U.S. military forces were directly responsible for about 10 to 15 million deaths during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and the two Iraq Wars...the United States most likely has been responsible since WWII for the deaths of between 20 and 30 million people in wars and conflicts scattered over the world." https://www.globalresearch.ca/us-has...war-ii/5492051

Funny how our government only worries about human life when it is trying to implement an agenda that will give it even more power than it has now.

Studies like this are skewed because they include high crime areas like the five high crime districts in Chicago.

Meaningless to the masses.

And what do terrorists have to do with people wanting to protect themselves and their families?

How about this? How about starting a thread discussing the high price of keeping a gun so that the poorest among us who live in high crime areas cannot afford to get a weapon to protect themselves and their families? Why doesn't that bother you?

Full disclosure: I'm not a gun owner and never will be.

Are we talking guns that are legally owned by law abiding licensed men and women or are we talking about illegally acquired guns in the hands of gang banging criminal thugs?

My neighbor has all kinds of guns and I don't fear him or any of his guns getting up and coming over to shoot me but if I found myself in a scary part of say Chicago I would be in fear of my life that I will be mugged at gun point and possibly shot.

They could ban guns tomorrow and guess who is not giving them up?

Drug dealers would still be shooting each other.
Criminals would still be robbing, raping and rampaging.
and sadly suicides would still happen.

Disarming the law abiding is not the answer to stopping mass shootings.

Homicide

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_a...tates#Homicide

According to the US Department of Justice, African Americans accounted for 52.5% of all homicide offenders from 1980 to 2008, with whites 45.3% and "Other" 2.2%. The offending rate for African Americans was almost 8 times higher than whites, and the victim rate 6 times higher. Most homicides were intraracial, with 84% of white victims killed by whites, and 93% of African Americans victims were killed by African Americans.[43][44][45]
In 2013, number and percentage of murder arrests by race were:

Black or African Americans 4,379 = 52.2%
White Americans (including Hispanic Americans) 3,799 = 45.3%
American Indians or Alaska Natives 98 = 1.06%
Asian Americans 101 = 1.2%[46][47]

Inversely, the percentage of individuals in each racial demographic arrested for murder in 2013 was:

0.01% of Black or African American population (4,379/38,929,319)
0.0017% of White American and Hispanic American population (3,799/223,553,265)
0.0033% of American Indian or Alaska Native population (98/2,932,248)
0.0007% of Asian American population (101/14,674,252)
0.001% of Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander population (6/540,013).[46][48]

The average white middle class American faces a murder-rate equal to that of the average Belgian. So.......these kinds of statistics are meaningless
Yea, that statistic is meaningless when you compare a whole country to a specific demographic, lol.

Lost me at "Brown People" and "Xenophobic Right wingers". Didnt know Terrorists were Brown, most all are associated with a religian. And you dont have to be a "Right winger" to want to keep terrorists out of this country or freeing them to kill again. Fail on all levels.

Okay, op

This is why I want to choose the way I want to defend myself, not you, or the government.

Since US stats: you are 57x times more likely to die to a gun than to a terrorist, then let ME be the one who defends myself. Only fair, right?

Besides, contrary to what the OP's sour rant implies, immigration laws are enforced for reasons that have nothing to do with terrorism.
does the OP ever post anything else? not from what i've seen.
