7,606 dollar property bill in Irvington, NJ for $137,000
But the same thing plays out in cities like Hartford, Bridgeport, Providence and others. Tax good hard-workers and seniors into foreclosure and bankruptcy. That way investors can pay pennies on the dollar and rent them to section 8 welfare families, illegal aliens, refugees.
This has been discussed before.. If you know NJ the property tax is high in all communities but typical higher in Republican ones. The bug issue is "home rule".

Probably so, people tell me Harrison is booming with its easy PATH access to Jersey City and Manhattan. I used to love that easy, inexpensive ride into the city.
Yup. That must be the Democrat's super-secret plan all right.

You and I both know slums never make good tax bases. Thinking otherwise is mistaking cartoons for living beings.
Show me a city, and I'll show you a slum in it somewhere. They are part of the human condition.
