29 calls to police no actions, several calls to the FBI and they drop the ball and the kid walks into a school and kills other kids.....and it's the NRA's fault?
That topic has never once been brought up in all the threads on the Florida shooting. And yes I'm being snarky. There's a lot of blame to be placed here. Not sure anyone ever said one person or organization bears most of it. The most blame lies with the suspect himself. But he was definitey enabled by a multitude of people and sources including those who have no problem with 18 year olds stocking up on AR-15s and similiar types of guns.

How is that possible.
Not really sure where or when it occurred, but everything seems to be someone else's fault, no one is responsible for their own actions.
Despite the fact that a person still walked into that school, and choose to kill. Sane or Deranged, that person still took several weapons, went to that school with intent to kill, and then carried out that intent.
That is where the responsibility lies, the rest of the so called blame come in for law suits; and people trying to cache in on a tragedy.

-Wearing ankle bracelet for gun violation.
-Yet he got a gun.
-Please note the facebook photos along the side showing the guns in his lap while flashing gang signs.
Hey, I'm all for stricter mental checks etc. (which clearly failed here, ugh) but frankly, I'm seeing a lot of people posting about how they're going to solve a problem that is just going to morph into arson, rented uhauls etc. instead.
Because we have tens of thousands of kids that have similar issues that don't go shooting up schools. I don't blame the NRA personally. I do think they should stop preventing data from being gathered though. They are the primary force behind laws to prevent data from the BATF and CDC being provided to help us understand what to do. I do blame them for that.
My point maybe is that had laws existing been enforced the crime would not have occurred. Why is it the default position to blame the NRA?
Because to many people in this country are reactive instead of proactive. People see a tragedy on TV, and they automatically "react" to it by calling for more gun laws, better background checks, etc. Then, the mainstream media jumps on board, which makes these reactionary individuals feel they are "doing the right thing". None of the herd stops to think about what actually went wrong to cause the tragedy. They simply attack whatever caused the problem. Which of course in this case was a gun. And what organization in this country advocates gun ownership? You guessed it, the NRA. Therefore, in the reactionary mind, the NRA is responsible for the school shooting because they advocate and lobby for gun rights. Now, does this make sense in any way? No, it doesn't. Do any of these people care that it makes no sense? Not a bit.

This sure does seem to sum things up to this point.

Sensible gun control must start with the laws already on the books. That seems pretty obvious to me. I agree that some folks on all sides of the argument seem t confuse the NRA with being the actual Second Amendment. Not pointing fingers, of course.
